Drones are complex machines that have many seemingly different but important parts that work together towards a common goal i.e. flying. An FPV drone has at least 10 constituents that are needed to work together and must match each other’s function closely. So we have put together a table that will help you to choose compatible parts if you plan to make one.
This table is the result of about 5 years of our experience with drones. If you are just starting out with drones, it is all but natural to be bogged down by motor sizes and Kv, propeller sizes, a compatible LiPo battery voltage, Flight controllers, and much more.
There is no single answer but a range of options you can explore. So I made this list based on the builds I have flown and seen over the years, trying to give you an idea of what sort of combinations are possible and popular.
I think this table would be useful for someone who’s building a new FPV drone and have no idea what motors they should/can use.
